A Midwest favorite. Perfect for chilly fall football Saturdays.
Ingredients
1.5 lbs ground beef
1/2 cup sliced red onion
4 cloves chopped garlic
2-3 tbsp Jamaican Jolt Jerk-Coffee Seasoning
2 cans tomato sauce
1 can tomato paste
1 large can crushed tomatoes
2 cans kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp DND Original Blend
2 tsp salt, 1 tsp blakc pepper
Directions
In a large pot, heat olive oil. Add onion, garlic and Jamaican-Jolt seasoning and sautee untill onions are soft. Add ground beef and brown, leave the fat. Add everything else. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 34 minutes. Serve with a delicious sourdough or French baguette.
